Additional information of Travel Rewards Credit Card for Students
The highlight of Bank of America's Travel Rewards student credit card starts at 1.5 points for every dollar spent (3 at the BoFA Travel Center) and they don't expire.
In addition, you receive an online bonus of 25 thousand points if you spend at least $1,000 in the first 90 days and you are not charged a commission for foreign transactions.
Similar to the Cash Rewards cardewards card, this credit instrument offers you an initial APR of 0% for 18 months. The difference is that you can only take advantage of it to make purchases.
Along with this, keep in mind the commissions:
- $39 for late payment
- Up to $28 per returned payment
- 5% (minimum $10) of the amount for transfers
- 3% of the amount (minimum $10) for cash advance and balance transfer
- 5% of the amount (minimum $10) for advances at ATMs, stores or online (same day)
If you want to redeem what you earn, you have 3 alternatives:
- Gift cards. Available with a minimum of 3,125 points and your rate varies.
- Travel reward. When you use this card to travel, you get 1 cent change per point. To do this, you must have accumulated at least 2,500 points.
- Cash. With a minimum of 2,500 points, you receive an exchange rate of 0.6 cents/point. For example, 3,000 would be $18. You can receive these rewards as a deposit to your checking/savings account or check.
This credit card is a version of Bank of America's Travel Rewards credit card, but designed exclusively for students.
