Additional information of Virtual Wallet Student account
PNC Bank offers a student version of its popular Virtual Wallet account package. To take advantage of it, you must be enrolled in an educational institution for some type of studies.
During the first 6 years, as long as you continue studying, you will be exempt from the monthly fee, without having to maintain a minimum balance or meet any other requirement.
After 6 years or if you are no longer enrolled in an educational institution, the account will be converted to a regular Virtual Wallet, which will apply a $7 monthly fee if you do not maintain a minimum balance of $500 or earn $500 per month.
With this account pack you will have the Spend checking account to use for your household finances, which has full functionality and allows you to operate making income and expenses normally. It has a free debit card with which you will be able to operate in ATMs around the world, being free all PNC ATMs and the first two ATMs of other entities that you use each month.
You will also enjoy a Reserve checking account, which you can use to set aside the money you will need for future payments, and a Growth savings account, which earns interest on the balance from the first dollar.
Virtual Wallet account for students also incorporates an alert service for parents, with which they can receive the same SMS or e-mail alerts that their child receives on their parents' cell phones or e-mails.
