Now, with the new Citizens Paid Early feature, you can advance two days the collection of your paycheck if it is paid directly into your Citizens Bank account.
You can open the Citizens Quest Checking account if you are of legal age and you can do it in a branch or through the official website. If you choose the second option, it is a four-step process:
- Have your SSN, email, phone number and driver's license/state ID nearby.
- Fill out the questionnaire on the bank's website and follow the instructions.
- Choose the initial deposit method, either by debit card or by wire transfer from another bank.
- Confirm and submit the application.
This interest-bearing checking account comes with a $25 maintenance fee. However, you can avoid this fee in two ways: by maintaining a combined monthly balance of $25,000 among the financial instruments contracted with this entity or by making deposits in your main checking account of $5,000 per month.
This banking product does not require a minimum balance to use it. It also has other benefits:
- A Visa debit card with contactless technology to shop and use ATMs.
- Various overdraft protection plans and no first overdraft fee each year.
- Use of Direct Deposit, Zelle, Apple/Google Pay and affiliation of your card to any ewallet.
- Various banking services at no additional cost, such as use of other banks' ATMs, transfers, check writing, account closing and stop payment.
The Citizens Quest Cheking account from Citizens Bank is useful if you want to earn dividends and are looking for a cheaper way to manage your account.
