What's most striking about Comerica's Visa Max Cash Preferred credit card is its rewards.
Once you get it, it offers you 5% cash back in two categories of your choice during the respective quarter. This involves spending at least $2,000 net on utilities, fast food, entertainment, TV or Internet services, department stores or other options.
When you don't choose a category, any of your purchases are subject to 1% cashback. You can get unlimited 2% cashback on a single category, such as: gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, delivery service or ground transportation.
If you are approved for the Visa Max Cash Preferred card, you can also earn a one-time bonus of $150. This is earned on net purchases totaling $500 within the first 90 days of account opening. This amount is credited to your balance after 6 to 8 weeks.
